Pickup & Delivery

How does delivery work?

If you live within the city limits of Cleveland, TN, we offer delivery of certain items for a $5 fee. All deliveries are made on Tuesdays and Fridays. Once your order is made, we will email you about delivery times. All orders must be made at least 3 days in advance. For example, if you order on a Monday your order will be delivered on Friday not the next day.

How does pickup work?

We also offer a pickup option at no cost. Pickup days are the same as delivery days, Tuesdays and Fridays. Once your order is made you will receive an email within 24 hours about time and place of pickup. Pickup locations are in Cleveland. All orders must be made at least 3 days in advance.

If I live outside of Cleveland, can I still order online?

If you are willing to drive to our pickup locations in Cleveland, then we would love for you to order online! We do not offer delivery outside of the city limits of Cleveland at this time, sorry.

Do you ship your sweets?

Currently, we do not ship our sweets. However, follow our Instagram page and if that becomes a possibility we will announce it there.

What if I need to cancel an order?

Life happens, we get it. Once your order has been placed you can cancel within 24 hours for a full refund. After 24 hours no refunds will be given. If you need to cancel, you can contact us by email at tara@bluewillowbakery.com or by calling (423) 584-0298.

What if I want to edit my order?

Unfortunately, we do not allow online orders to be changed once they are made. Because we are a made-to-order small-batch bakery we don’t keep extra items frozen, so it’s not as easy to just change things last minute. You can always cancel within 24 hours of ordering if you need to. As always if you have any questions or concerns email us at tara@bluewillowbakery.com.

Why can’t I just pick it up at your place of business?

Because we work out of a private kitchen and do not have a physical location, we offer pickups at various locations in Cleveland as well as delivery to your home or place of business.

Do you offer gluten free, vegan and other allergy friendly options?

Yes! We do offer gluten free, vegan and dairy free options on a variety of our cakes, cupcakes, cookies and pies. If you would like to order an allergy friendly option, please fill out the contact form and let us know what you are looking for.

Unfortunately, we do not offer sugar-free options.

Please note that we are not a dedicated gluten free, egg-free, nut-free or dairy-free kitchen. While we do our best to clean and prevent cross-contamination, there is always a possibility of cross-contamination happening.


Weddings

How do tastings work?

Tastings cost $25 by appointment only. You can choose up to 3 basic cake and 3 basic icing flavors to try. We will meet at a local coffee shop (normally Starbucks) where we will have a chance to connect, design your cake and to taste. Consultations last about 45 minutes.

How many people can come to the tasting?

We ask that you keep the total count (including yourself) to 4 people. This makes it easier for us to focus on the needs and desires of the bride and groom.

How many servings will I need?

The amount of servings that you will need depend on several factors including whether or not other desserts will be available, if there will be a groom’s cake and if your reception will be a sit down dinner or buffet. How your cake is cut will also determine how many servings you get out it. We will discuss how much you will need at your tasting.

How far in advance should I book my wedding cake/desserts?

We recommend booking as early as you can, as certain peak months get booked quickly. Booking 6 months out is our current recommendation. However, we ask that you already have your venue and date booked before booking your cake.

Do you provide fresh flowers?

No, we do not provide fresh flowers. We ask that you have your florist set aside flowers for your cake for us to put on at the reception site.

Do you cover cakes in fondant?

We no longer cover entire cakes in fondant. We do use fondant as accents and in design.

Do you provide stands?

No, we do not provide cake stands at this time. All of our wedding cakes come on a white 1/2 inch cake board.

Will you deliver and setup my wedding cake(s) at the venue?

Yes, we deliver and setup all bridal cakes, groom’s cakes, etc. at the venue. Delivery fees inside Cleveland city limits are $75. Delivery fees outside of Cleveland are dependent on distance and gas prices.

Can I pick up my own wedding cake and transport it to the venue?

If your cake is tiered, then we will deliver it to your venue. We spend quite a bit of time creating your cake and it’s important to us that it gets to its destination safely. We frequently tier cakes on site as well.

How much are your wedding cakes?

Our wedding cakes are not priced per serving, but on the tier size, flavor choice and complexity of the design. See weddings tab for starting prices.

Deposits/ Cancellations/ Refund Policy

Wedding dates are not secured until a deposit is received.

A $250.00 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your wedding date. The remaining balance will be due 2 weeks prior to your date.

If you cancel at least 60 days prior to your wedding date we will refund the remainder of any payments made minus the non-refundable $250.00. No refunds will be given after that date.

*This includes canceling due to Covid-19. We will do everything within our power to reschedule and work with you if things need to change. However, our $250.00 non-refundable deposit still applies.

Custom Cakes

What is the difference between custom cakes and ordering a cake online?

Our online options are predesigned cakes and flavors with no changes allowed. Choosing a custom cake allows you to choose the flavor, size, design, and the flexibility of your chosen date. Birthday cakes, baby and wedding shower cakes, and any cake you want full creativity with are considered custom cakes.

How far in advance do I need to order a custom cake?

Custom cakes need to be ordered at least 1 - 2 weeks in advance.
